Lauren Spencer is a New Orleans native artist, whose work spans across a multitude of disciplines. Her work often explores identity and adornment which is influenced by her love of film and costume.

She studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she graduated with a BFA in sculpture. After returning to New Orleans, she taught elementary and high school visual art. She attended the fashion design residency at OTIS College of Art and Design. Her experience there motivated her to move to Los Angeles to pursue film makeup, where she graduated from Cinema Makeup School.

She now works as bi-coastal makeup artist and her career has taken her abroad as well as new heights in her artistic practice.
